October 8, 1999 I LOVE, no make that LURV this web site! What a refreshing look at writing, art, and literature for children. The only suggestion I would have is to create a different "page" for the technical subject matter...you could then provide informational links on those pages to other relevant site you recommended for your visitors. You might want to add links that you favor for the children's art/lit., and the writing sampler for your adult readers. I enjoyed everything I saw! Thank you for making this available to your reading/browsing cyberguest. Manjusree Sen

October 6, 1999 Kamaal hai!! Eemaan se bata raha hoon - yeh site to chhaa gaya!! Bahut khoobsurat aur hriday sparshi hai, Arunbhai to apne 'fun' ka sampoorna istemal karte hain. It was such a pleasure reading the story and the illustrations were simply outstanding. The homepage is very attractive. Don't change it even if Bill Gates has a suggestion to make!! Thanks for having remembered me, all the best and keep doing this the way only you can. Manjunath

September 28, 1999 I looked at kahany.com. Very charming. Very pretty. Can't wait for the other sections (though I will probably avoid the math/engineering section). Very nice front page. Good graphics and background. Having read the original hand painted version, it was interesting seeing what you had managed to do to transcend the difference in medium. The use of dark colors against dark background colors makes for difficult reading. e.g. Details, Exit, Arrows, in boxes at the bottom of each page are in maroon which is hard to read against a black background. Similarly, "gold mohurs" where the price of the parrot was first declared, was hard to read. Don't know what the technical solutions are to these problems, but thought a different selection of colors may help. Initially, the first page of the book took a while to get painted. But that may have been the network's problem. Didn't have that problem in the later pages. On a literary note, we really need good writers of stories for children. Retelling of folk tales will do too. Most of what I have found in India is Panchatantra based and not of much interest to children here. Others have been writers who wrote many years ago. Not much new. Perhaps, I have stopped looking for new materials for younger kids as my children have grown. This unscientific survey should give Arun a chance to exploit his talents, especially since he still has an interest in writing for younger kids (under 10). Rita Advani

September 23, 1999 Thoroughly enjoyed your kahany site. Dont change a thing unless life threatened by spouse. Suggestions to have consistent pages, facile navigation, fully functioning items and so on are just too "corporate" for enchanted-forest-experience of kahany.com Break away! Krish Krishnan

September 23, 1999 The flowers are beautiful. I tried opening the story page, but it doesn't load on my Netscape browser. One suggestion: maybe a section on "Places"? I could send in a few pictures of our home, Kerala, etc. Do keep the site updated with your stories and chitras. Next best thing to being there, especially for remote visitors like me! September 23, 1999 How proud you both can be of your web endeavor thus far; it is a delight! The story is very appealing and the artwork is simply incredible. I (Dave) have a color perception deficiency, yet the colors I see on your storyboards are exquisite. I sat and 'oohed' and 'aahed' at length. Thank you for your efforts. (FYI- The only problem I detected was an inability to discern the wording of the top paragraph on pg. 7). Beautiful piece of work, you two! David & Lori Sobelson
