May 2000 I once heard heaven in Bismillah Khan's Kedar. For hours. He forgot to stop. Ever since, Kedar is essentially Bismillah Khan's territory. To me. Perhaps that is why Bismillah Khan's
piece is clearly my favorite in this selection of brilliant renditions

The film section is good too. However,
it is clearly the classical that is more enchanting. The majesty of Kedara
cannot be hurried. Time needs to hold still. Kedar comes majestically alive
